Terms & Conditions

All participants must agree to the terms and conditions before signing up to an event. Individuals are responsible for taking out their own travel insurance when attending a retreat.

  • Unless stated otherwise, attendees must be at least 18 years old. Younger participants may be able to attend some events, where it has been discussed and agreed to prior to the event.

  • For weekend retreats, the total fee must be paid at least 6 weeks prior to the date of the event beginning, unless discussed and agreed otherwise. Late payments will be subject to 10% late fee

  • The fee is the amount due to Salt & Light Retreat agreed upon booking

  • The deposit is non-refundable. If a client decides to cancel a booking, they must email as soon as possible. Cancellations made within 6 weeks of the event are non-refundable. Cancellations made at least 12 weeks before the event will be eligible for a 50% refund of the total amount due, those made 8 weeks in advance of the event will be eligible for 25% refund of the total amount due. Please note that as deposits are not refundable, any bookings where the deposit amounts to more than 50% will not receive the deposit and the amount refunded may result to less than 50% if cancelled at least 12 weeks in advance.

  • By booking onto an event with Salt & Light Retreat, you understand that there is physical movement involved including (but not limited to) yoga, sea swimming and walking, and recognise that there is the possibility of physical injury. By booking onto an event with Salt & Light Retreat you agree to assume responsibility for any physical injury that may occur.

  • If you choose to enter the sea, cold water, or any body of water, you do so at your own risk and must assume responibility for your own safety.

  • If you have any injuries or ailments you must notify Salt & Light Retreat when booking, or as soon as you are aware of the condition after booking.

  • If any of the team of Salt & Light Retreat believe that your health or wellbeing is at risk, or you have not informed us in writing of a condition, you may be asked to not participate or leave the event. In such scenarios your contract with Salt & Light Retreat will be terminated at the discretion of Salt & Light Retreat without refund or compensation.

  • By attending a Salt & Light Retreat event you agree to not consume alcohol or drugs during, or prior to the event within a timeframe that would affect your ability to be fully sober at the time of the event beginning.

  • Salt & Light Retreat reserves the right to make changes to events such as content and location, and wherever possible will provide as much notice as possible should changes arise. 

  • By attending a Salt & Light Retreat event you agree to having your photograph taken, which may be shared on social media and through other marketing means. If you do not wish to have your photograph taken, you must inform Salt & Light Retreat via email.

  • All guests must refrain from any illegal act or any conduct unbecoming a retreat guest, conduct or language which may give offence to a team member or guest or any act which may cause damage to property.  If Salt & Light Retreat or any of the team become aware of any such behaviour then they may, at their absolute discretion, ask the client to leave the premises, property or event, this will be without refund or compensation to the guest, in these circumstances Salt & Light Retreat will have no further responsibility or liability to the guest.

  • These terms & conditions are subject to regular reviewing and may be changed from time to time; please ensure that you are up to date with the most recent terms & conditions before booking onto or attending an event.
