Service Description
Saturday, 31st October join Rose for a beautiful evening retreat of sauna rituals. We'll move through a variety or traditional techniques designed to guide you through the threshold between the seasons. The practices reawaken a sense of curiosity and calm for your mind, soothe your body and nourish your soul. Step into another world with this sensory experience. The sauna alone is a gorgeous practice, but the support of plant aromas, textures, sounds, sensations and scrubs takes it to a whole new level. In this session we'll be celebrating the shift that late autumn brings, preparing for winter ahead. There will be herbal teas, a variety of steams & infused water remedies, and whisking with birch branches to stimulate blood flow and manipulate the energy of the sauna and uplift our own energy in doing so. You'll be offered many cooling options throughout that support the theme of our evening. So, if you're curious about what more there is to explore within the ancient, evolving practice of sauna, or are drawn to fully embrace the season of letting go - then come along for this enchanting evening. We begin at 7.15pm with tea and a welcome circle to begin our ceremony, introduce the practices and brief everybody about the experience. We'll spend 60-90 minutes between the sauna and cooling ourselves, and we will end our time with another tea and closing circle, ending at 9.15pm. Please note that due to the variety of plants, oils and scrubs involved in this event, it may not be suitable for those with sensitive skin, or skin conditions.
Cancellation Policy
Please read prior to booking; refund policy varies depending on the service booked. Refund available for up to 14 days prior to public events that are up to one day long (e.g. day retreat, yoga & brunch, morning/afternoon workshops, mini-retreats etc.). For events longer than one day: the deposit is non-refundable. If a client decides to cancel a booking, they must email as soon as possible. Cancellations made within 6 weeks of the event are non-refundable. Cancellations made prior to 12 weeks before the event will be eligible for a 50% refund of the total amount due, those made 8 weeks in advance of the event will be eligible for 25% refund of the total amount due. Please note that as deposits are not refundable, any bookings where the deposit amounts to more than 50% will not receive the deposit and the amount refunded may result to less than 50% if cancelled at least 12 weeks in advance. If an event is cancelled on Salt & Light Retreat's behalf, a full refund will be provided.
